We have the utmost pleasure in presenting you with our summer house program and hope that you find a summer house that satisfies your wishes and needs. Our homes all lie by Skaven Strand with 100 to 1000 m distance from Ringkøbing Fjord. The beach line down from our summer homes is pure beach sand, but there also exist rushes, scrub and reeds along the coast, which creates a rich bird environment for all of us to enjoy.
With the fjord’s low water depth, it is the ideal place for both beginner and experienced windsurfers. The vibrant wild life and nature provides numerous of experiences for nature lovers and outdoorsmen. And there is plenty of space for children to play around.
At Skaven Strand Camping, you will find a well-stocked grocery market with everything in groceries, as well as fre- shly baked break from the baker every day. Restaurant Skavenhus serves lovely inn food at affordable prices. In the cozy marina, it is possible to buy freshly caught fish from the local fishermen, or you are in a hurry – a grilled chicken or hot dog with everything on it from Skaven Grill.
In order to avoid any misunderstanding, we would like to inform you of some the practical content regarding a stay in our rental summer homes. All of our houses are at the least all fitted with: electric heaters, coffee makers, electric stoves, refrigerator, showers, sinks, toilets and hot and cold water. Utensils and cooking equipment is appropriately proper to the amount of persons signed up on the contract.
At the rental agreement, a rental contract will be drafted whereby the rental period, payment, keys, and address will be addressed. Obligatory home-rental insurance fol- lows the contract. At arrival, a security deposit is expected for the final cleaning of the home, which the renter(s) themselves are to execute, if nothing else has been ag- reed upon. The electrical usage during the rental period is to be paid when checking out.
We ask you kindly to take note of the maximum amount of people that are allowed to stay in the homes, and if pets are allowed as well. You should always bring your own towels, bed linen, rags, tablecloths, and the like, unless otherwise agreed upon.
Skaven Strand Camping and Sommerhusudlejning do pro- vide rentals of bed linen, children’s beds, bicycles, boat lots in Skaven harbor as well as issuing of fishing permits.
By the way, did you know that you can find amber at Skaven Strand and that there is only but a one hour drive from Legoland and the Lion Park? There exists three golf courses in our area and nearby and there is only 5 km to one of the best fishing spots in Denmark, Skjern Å (Skjern Creek). Only 25 km away, through majestic nature and more, lies the North Sea.
